Out in the Field, Hard at Work

Perhaps you’ve wondered where Grounded Women has been and why you haven’t seen a post for a while? Well, I’ve been out photographing and interviewing some amazing women in D.C., Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, and I can’t wait to bring you their stories. So many powerful women and so much good hard work being done.

It bothers me that I have to choose between being out making the work, or being at my desk writing and posting the work, but I suppose there is a time for each, and right now I have been heavy into the making of the work.

One of the grounded women you will read about soon is Molly Peterson of Heritage Hollow Farms. I think of Molly’s farm story as a love story, and I’m so eager to share it with you. Molly and husband Mike are finalists in the $50,000 Agility Challenge, sponsored by AT&T. I urge everyone to cast a vote (and you can vote every day) for Molly and Mike and the great work they are doing in Sperryville, VA, with their pasture-raised meat.

Meanwhile, stay tuned to Grounded Women for inspiring stories to come. If you subscribe (in the navigation bar above), you’ll be notified when the next story is published.

Till then,

Can’t wait to hear the next episode……I have a woman farmer in mind when you get a break from the many, many responses you must be getting. She is in Salisbury Maryland. Keep up the good work. I’m sure there are a lot of us who look forward to your posts on a regular basis. I’m also sure you are changing the way many of us think of “food” and we are grateful.

Oh yay on both accounts, Patti. Thank you!!

  4. Yes, the perennial decision: Make things, or take the time to write about making them. Both are so valuable, meaty, and fun. I’m a lifestyle blogger, so I hear you on this. Thanks for the update. I just recently found out about you through Ever Better. So glad I did.

Yay for the Ever Better podcast! I’m so glad you reached out, Suzi, and I can’t wait to dive into your blog. It looks great. Every day that goes by that I’m not able to be at my desk writing the next story is just so frustrating. But it’s another chance to Accept What Is!
